Substantial Energy Saving Rebates are now available for a limited time from your local power provider along with a 30% tax credit from the IRS.  Rebates are on a myriad of products including Windows, Doors, and lighting fixtures.

WHY?  -  Simply, it is less expensive to give rebates for energy savings than to build a new hydroelectric dam.  The IRS tax credit is a part of the US Government Stimulus Package.

For Example: Purchasing new windows and door, for an electrically heated condominium unit, with four aluminum windows and an aluminum sliding door, would realize the savings example below.

Four windows totaling 72 sf. and one sliding door with 42sf    =   114sf

Rebate on U.30 - .35 or better windows, doors per sf   =   $4 - $5/sf

Your Local Power Company Sends You a Check for         $456 - $570

Plus the IRS gives you a 30% tax credit up to  $ 1500

Plus a savings in your energy usage

Additional rebates are available on lighting, water saving appliances, solar heating, etc.   (Depending on your power supplier)  These savings are for a limited time.
