J2 GIVES BACK
We are thankful to our employees and clients that make our business run. Sharing our resources and talents after hours is important as well. Each year we get involved with organizations that benefit our communities serving those around us who could use an extra hand or who are solving larger social problems important to us. Last year we donated over $20,000 in time and resources to those in need. Each year we select a new organization to work with, if you are interested please contact us.

REGULATIONS
Complying with the multitude of regulations requires a current understanding of the local laws to be properly registered and insured. Our scope of services includes:
Investigating buildings: Removing and resetting components to understand how a building is built and to assess the underlying condition
Directing Contractors: Investigations and construction management involve "directing and supervising" construction
Preparing or Obtaining Estimates: Assembling scopes of repair or cost estimates involves estimate preparation and bid soliciting
Compliance Inspections: Supervising the installations to verify plan compliance, may include the direction to "tear it off and start over" - this is directing construction. Also, in WA RCW 64.55 requires that an architect prepare the remediation drawings and oversee their installation.
For these reasons and more, the states require a Contractor's License and the associated insurance and bonding - J2 is a licensed and bonded contractor.
Design, plan production, and "stamping" of permit sets in the firms' name requires the firm to be a licensed architectural or engineering firm - J2 is a both an engineering and architectural firm.
Please ask, or go online, to verify our registration, state business licenses, and those of our competitors.
